Where I Have Lived
My birthday is March 16th and that got me to thinking the other day of all the places that I have lived, as a child and as an adult. The majority was when I was a child and those were numerous as after my parents got a divorce in the late 40′s, it was hard for my mother to take care of the both of us , so sometimes during the summer off I would go to live with grandparents or uncles and aunts.
My life looks like the song from “Paint Your Wagon“, “Wand’rin’ Star” sung by Lee Marvin.
Some of the places I don’t remember all that much about them but some hold fond memories and a few were nightmares.
Now when I get so old and decrepit that I can’t take care of myself, I will move back to Oklahoma where my children live and make them wipe my chin and butt…
